About the World
Usage and FAQ
Subterforge began in the depths of an evil laboratory in the dark and stormy summer of 2007, and has been painstakingly updated on a weekly basis ever since, before switching to a bi-weekly schedule this year. It's set in a (probably) fictional world called Ferrous, apparently full of animal-people and suchlike, with a technology level approximately Victorian and a sense of humour approximately modern. As for the story, it's about crime, war, tyranny and all that godawful stuff which makes life that bit more exciting.
Our protagonist is one Carter Blake, jackdaw crook turned lawyer (jokes not appreciated), whose story begins when he's seventeen and involved in a heist which goes wrong, fatally for some. Seven years later he's a reformed man (okay, reformed bird-kinda-thing), until a letter from a self-styled deity drags him back to the ashes of his past...
As to the creator of this ramshackle microcosm, my name is B. French, but call me Mazeburn. I'm British, female, born in 1990. By day I'm a student, but by night I write comics and fight crime from the rooftops with my sidekick, procrastination.
